Each year Mark flies back east to participate in the Mickey Steele Golf Outing held at Queenstown Harbor Golf Links in Queenstown, MD. Queenstown Harbor Golf Links features 36 holes of Championship Quality Golf. Its two courses, the River and Lakes courses, are perennially listed among the top public courses in Maryland. More information about Queenstown Harbor Golf Links is available at www.mdgolf.com.

The Mickey Steele Golf Outing raises money for charities that work to improve the lives of children. The tournament is named in honor of Mark’s friend Mickey Steele, a Maryland native, sports enthusiast, and business owner, who in 2004 lost his battle to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). His friends, family and former co-workers gather annually for the tournament to help raise dollars for children's charities. The Rypien Foundation has been fortunate enough to be included in this fun event as a benefiting charity since 2005.
